I left this appointment deeply disappointed. After seeing multiple dermatologists who repeatedly dismissed my very real symptoms, minimized my concerns, or redirected the issue into psychological explanations, I had hoped for something different here. Unfortunately, the pattern continued. 1. My concerns were repeatedly dismissed For three years I have experienced a sudden, widespread skin condition affecting my: • face • arms • legs • chest • back • ankles • and scalp Each time, instead of examining the full pattern, the focus was turned toward blaming my behavior, suggesting I was “picking” or that the issue was psychological. This was incredibly invalidating and did not reflect what I actually experience. 2. I received information that was factually incorrect I was told that “Keratosis Pilaris only appears on the backs of the arms,” which is medically untrue. KP can appear on: • thighs • legs • chest • face • back • and even the scalp The claim that it “couldn’t be KP because s
