Dr. Alexis Lyons is a talented and dedicated board-certified dermatologist committed to providing comprehensive and compassionate care to her patients. With a focus on skin health and overall well-being, Dr. Lyons combines her expertise with a patient-centered approach to deliver exceptional results.

Having completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Florida and medical training at Eastern Virginia Medical School, Dr. Lyons possesses a solid academic foundation. She further honed her skills during a dermatology residency at Henry Ford Health in Detroit, gaining extensive experience in diagnosing and treating a wide range of skin conditions.

Dr. Lyons treats a diverse patient population with a wide spectrum of conditions. She believes in empowering her patients to be a part of their treatment plan and ensures they feel comfortable and confident in their skin. She continues to stay up-to-date on all facets of dermatologic care and cosmetic advancements to ensure each patient is treated like family with the latest developments in the field.

Great experience. Greeted by warm smiles and clean office. Dr. Lyons was pleasant, got to the point and got me back to work. Total time in office 45 minutes which is pretty unheard of at a specialist office.

I scheduled an appointment to discuss the healing of a mole removal on my face that had not healed the way other removals had. While I appreciate the medical explanation I was given, I was disappointed by the interaction itself. This was my first experience with this dermatologist, and I found her demeanor to be cold and dismissive. When I asked questions about the post-removal results and whether there were any additional treatment options available, I felt as though my concerns were brushed aside. I understand that the answer may simply have been that there were limited options. That wasn't the issue. My concern was the lack of compassion and patient-centered communication when discussing a sensitive concern involving my face. I left the appointment feeling uncomfortable and embarrassed for asking questions. While the dermatologist is clearly experienced, I would not personally recommend her to my friends or family.

Great timing! Very thorough and takes time to explain and address any concerns. Just one piece of advice: Zocdoc is a 3rd party source and VERY efficient, it just doesn’t link to the office and you have to do things all over when you get in the office, so be prepared and arrive 25 minutes before your appointment just in case this hiccup is not corrected.
