Kamal Chantal completed an undergraduate degree in athletic training at Longwood Univeristy in 2002. He went on to earn a master’s degree in physician assistant studies at Lock Haven University in 2004. Following his training, he moved to upstate New York and worked in orthopaedic surgery for 2 years.

He moved back to his home state of Virginia in 2006 and worked in orthopaedic/spine surgery until joining RidgeView Dermatology in January of 2017.

Kamal and his wife Alexis have 2 children. They enjoy cooking, gardening, and horseback riding as a family. He also enjoys playing golf.

I was very nervous about having surgery done to remove a small melanoma on my arm. Once Dr. Chantal came in and talked to me to explain what he would be doing he put me at ease. My appointment was at 10:30 and by 11:00 I was done. I highly recommend Ridgeview Dermatology.
