Kelly Wilmas, MD, is a board-certified dermatologist, board-certified Mohs surgeon, and ACGME fellowship-trained Mohs micrographic and reconstructive surgeon. Dr. Wilmas earned her medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School at Houston where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha and Gold Humanism Honor Societies. She completed her dermatology residency at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, distinguished as the nation’s top cancer center. During her final year, she served as Chief Resident. She completed a fellowship in Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology at the University of California San Francisco, regarded as one of the most prestigious fellowships in the country.

Dr. Wilmas has a passion for evidence-based medicine and the improvement of patient outcomes. This has led to numerous lectures, national research presentations, publications in peer-reviewed journals including Cancers, Dermatologic Surgery, and Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology. She has received multiple awards for clinical care, education, and research, and was named “Top Advocate” by the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery Association for her commitment to patient safety.

Dr. Wilmas specializes in Mohs micrographic surgery (a precise technique for removing skin cancer while sparing healthy tissue), surgical reconstruction, and skin cancer detection and management.
