Halo® Laser Treatment Options: What is Halo® Laser Treatment?
Halo® combines two laser wavelengths to get rid of brown spots and other color defects, as well as smooth out skin and give it a youthful, healthy glow.
Sciton’s Halo treatment is the world’s first hybrid fractional laser system, delivering both ablative and non-ablative wavelengths to the same or different treatment zones, with minimal downtime.
What can Halo treat ?
Halo can treat pigmentary issues related to wrinkles and pores, without the invasiveness of traditional fractional resurfacing. Results appear within 1-2 treatments.
One wavelength targets the top layer of your skin and the other targets deeper tissues. By precisely combining the wavelengths you need, the Halo laser treatment can repair visible signs related to aging, sun damage, discoloration, enlarged pores, and uneven skin tone while providing the deep heat needed to jump-start collagen growth.
What is a Halo session like ?
A topical anesthetic may be applied on the treatment area(s) to reduce the sensation during the procedure. Your Forefront dermatologist will then treat each measured section by uniformly rolling the Halo handpiece over the skin until the system recognizes the treatment is complete.
When the treatment is complete, the device will blow cool air across your face to ease the heat. A full treatment lasts 20 to 60 minutes, depending on the areas you’re having treated.
What results can be expected from Halo ?
Halo is a complete skin rejuvenation treatment. You will see improvements in overall tone and texture in addition to significant removal of discoloration, reduction in fine lines*, reduced pore size, skin reflectivity and glow.
For the first 24 hours you should keep your skin protected according to your clinician’s instructions, but after that you should be able to go about your normal activities. After the first 24 hours your skin will begin to peel, but you will be able to put on makeup. For a facial treatment, you will see very little change on the first day. After two to three days you will develop a light bronzing appearance. By day three or four your skin will peel, revealing your new skin beneath.
Your Halo results will last for years to come, but you should continue to keep your skin protected at all times using UV sunscreen to protect your new, healthy skin.
