Kelsey Kennedy, MD, FAAD
A Birmingham native, Dr. Kennedy is an alumnus of the University of Alabama, where she graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology degree. She earned her Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), where she graduated in the top 5% of her class. She is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society and the American Medical Women’s Association. Dr. Kennedy completed a one-year internship in internal medicine at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina, followed by a three-year dermatology residency at the Medical College of Georgia (now known as Augusta University) in Augusta, Georgia. During her residency, Dr. Kennedy was awarded the Marshall Guill Teaching Award by her peers for excellence in medical student education. She is trained in pediatric and adult medical dermatology, dermatologic surgery, and cosmetic dermatology. Dr. Kennedy enjoys treating patients with various skin conditions, including eczema, psoriasis, acne, warts, infections, moles, skin cancers, and more. She also enjoys offering the latest procedures and techniques in cosmetic dermatology. Dr. Kennedy provides her patients with up-to-date, evidence-based information on diagnosing and treating dermatologic diseases by continuing her education through the American Academy of Dermatology.
