TheraClear® X
What is TheraClear® X acne treatment?
TheraClear® X is an advanced acne treatment system that combines gentle vacuum technology with broadband light to target and treat acne-prone skin effectively. This treatment is best for mild to moderate acne and can be used to treat your face, back, and chest.
REQUEST NOWWhy is TheraClear® X better than other acne devices?
The sebaceous glands within your skin secrete oils (sebum) to help keep your skin moist. When these glands get clogged, it can lead to acne breakouts.
TheraClear® X is the only acne device on the market today that includes a suction component to extract clogged sebum. Without suction, the sebum remains inside, making other treatments far less effective.
How does TheraClear® X work?
TheraClear® X acne treatment uses a unique dual-action approach. The treatment combines gentle vacuum suction to extract sebum, dead skin cells, and bacteria from your pores with targeted broadband light that helps reduce inflammation and destroy acne-causing bacteria. TheraClear® X is both fast and effective, even if your acne has not responded to other types of treatment.
Is the TheraClear® X acne laser suitable for all skin types?
Yes, TheraClear® X is safe for all skin types, including sensitive skin. Your Forefront dermatologist will carefully assess your acne and current skin condition, then customize the TheraClear® X treatment settings to ensure minimal discomfort and optimal results.
What are the benefits of TheraClear® X treatment?
In addition to its revolutionary vacuum technology and accessibility for all skin types, TheraClear® is effective at treating many forms of acne, including blackheads, whiteheads, pustules, papules, and cystic acne. TheraClear® X treatment also improves the appearance of acne scars and reduces the redness often associated with acne.
During your TheraClear® X treatment – and after treatment is complete – you can remain on your favorite traditional acne therapies. However, you must maintain a good skin care regimen throughout. Ask your Forefront dermatologist for recommendations to help keep your skin as clear as possible.
When will I see results from TheraClear® X treatment?
Most acne patients require a total of 4-6 treatments every 1-2 weeks, but you won’t have to wait long to see results. Visible improvement is often seen as early as the second treatment. The third treatment usually produces the most significant improvement. And by the sixth treatment, most (if not all) of your acne lesions should be gone.
If your acne is severe, you may need more than 4-6 treatments. Most patients require a single touch-up treatment every 3-4 months as well.
Is TheraClear® X painful?
TheraClear® X is a comfortable treatment that requires no pre-medication. Most patients describe feeling a mild sucking sensation during the vacuum portion and a warm sensation during the broadband light portion. Best of all, there’s no downtime – so you can get right back to your daily activities after treatment is complete.
Are there any TheraClear® X side effects?
Some patients may experience temporary redness or mild swelling, but it typically resolves within a few hours.
Is TheraClear® X a long-term solution for acne?
It certainly has the potential to be. After completing a full course of TheraClear® X acne treatment, patients often report having:
- Fewer breakouts
- Less severe breakouts
- Shorter breakouts
- Less oily skin
Individual results may vary, and ongoing skin care maintenance is essential to long-term success. Your Forefront dermatologist can create a personalized skin care plan to help you remain acne-free.
