Marie Stoddard Lyndsey, MD, FAAD
Dr. Marie Stoddard Lyndsey graduated from the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine, where she spent much of her free time working in free clinics. Due to her profound interest in research, she achieved various publications in dermatology, and presented her work at national meetings. She went on to complete her residency in dermatology from the University of Michigan, where she received exceptional training in general, adolescent and pediatric dermatology, dermatologic surgery, cosmetics, dermoscopy, patch testing, Modified Goeckerman Therapy, and inpatient consults. As the University of Michigan’s catchment area spans many states, she is experienced in treating patients of all skin types across a wide spectrum of urban, suburban, and rural populations.
She was known in her residency program for her efficiency and excellent patient care. While she enjoyed treating common conditions in dermatology such as skin cancer, acne, rosacea, and psoriasis, she was also adept at identifying and treating the occasional skin eruptions that required a more complex differential and treatment plan. Dr. Lyndsey had also played an integral role in promoting diversity, inclusion and equity in dermatology by serving as a lead resident for the Dermatology Pipeline Program, which provided a hands-on experience in dermatology to first-year minority medical students.
