Need help with your patient portal account?

We're here to answer your questions related to the patient portal. Below you will find answers to some of the more commonly asked questions.

Q: How do I set up my patient portal account?

A:

After you are checked in for your first appointment with us, you will receive an email to register for the portal. Click the link in the email and confirm your identity using your name, date of birth, and email address.

If we have a mobile number on file, you will receive a secure verification code by text message to complete your login.

During your first login, you will be asked to create a secure password. In the future, you may choose to log in using a one-time verification code sent to your mobile phone instead of entering your password.

Q: I lost my invitation email. What should I do?

A:

No problem. You can visit ForefrontDermatology.com and select the Patient Login icon under the For Patients section to access the portal. From there, enter your name, date of birth, and email address to confirm your identity and complete your login.

Q: I changed my phone number or email address. How do I update it?

A:

Please contact your clinician's office to update your contact information. Once updated, we can re-send portal access instructions if needed.

Q: My account is locked. How do I unlock it?

A:

For security reasons, accounts may temporarily lock after multiple unsuccessful login attempts. Please call the office and we'll help unlock your account.

Q: I forgot my password. How do I reset it?

A:

On the portal login page, click "Forgot Password". You'll be asked to verify your username (typically your email address), your last name, and your date of birth. Follow the instructions to reset your password.

You also have the option to log in without a username and password. If you have an email address and mobile number on file, you can enter your name, date of birth, and email address. A secure verification code will be sent to your phone by text message to complete your login.

If you continue to have difficulty, contact our office for assistance.

Q: How do I view my visit notes, pathology, or lab reports?

A:

After logging into the portal, select the Appointments tab, then Past Appointments, and click on the link to View Visit Notes. Select the Tests and Results tab to view pathology and lab results.

Please note — with the automatic release of test results to your portal, it is possible that you will see your results before your clinician does.

Q: Can I schedule or cancel appointments through the portal?

A:

No, you can only view upcoming appointments via the patient portal. Appointment management varies by location. Please visit your location on our website to check for online scheduling options, or call the office directly to schedule, reschedule, or cancel an appointment.

Q: How do I request a prescription refill?

A:

Please contact your pharmacy directly to request a refill. Your pharmacy will send the refill request to our office to manage.

Q: How do I message my provider?

A:

After logging into the portal, select Messages, then Inbox, and click to Compose Message. This message will go to your provider's office staff and they will respond to you within 1–2 business days.

The portal should not be used for urgent issues, emergencies, or new medical concerns. For new concerns, please schedule an appointment. For urgent medical issues, call the office directly or seek emergency care.

Q: Can I send photos through the portal?

A:

While the portal allows photo uploads, photos should only be sent if your provider specifically requests them. Unsolicited photos are not routinely reviewed. If you have a new or changing spot of concern, please schedule an appointment so it can be properly evaluated.

Q: Can I pay my bill on the portal?

A:

Online bill payment is available on our website, not through the patient portal. Please visit ForefrontDermatology.com and select the Online Payment option at the top of the page to follow the instructions to pay your bill.

Q: Can I download my medical records through the portal?

A:

You can view and print individual visit notes and test results through the portal. If you need your full medical record or need records sent to another provider, please contact your clinic. Our team will process the request and send the records directly to the provider on your behalf.
