Originally from Bemus Point, NY, Kim and her husband, Matt, moved to Fredericksburg, VA in 2004, where Kim worked as a physician assistant, specializing in cosmetic and medical dermatology. Kim and Matt moved to Virginia Beach in October 2008, where Kim joined Tompkins Dermatology.

Kim is committed to educating patients on proper skin care and sun protection methods.Kim and her husband Matt, a physical therapist, enjoy visiting her family in Tampa, Florida and his family in Lambertville, New Jersey. They also enjoy working out, entertaining family and friends in their home, and spending time with their three cats.

Dr. Silver & her staff eased my nerves when I went my dermatologist appointment on January 23, 2024. I was nervous because I thought they were going to tell me that there was nothing that could be done for my issue. But it was not the case. The issue was identified and medicines were prescribed. My visit was good.. The office could have been nicer… Looked like an old building. Needs some updating for sure. I had no wait time, staff was very friendly. Kim was very nice and helpful.. seemed very knowledgeable.. I will go back!
