Dr. Andrew Hankinson is a Fellowship-Trained Mohs surgeon, Board Certified in both Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Dermatology. He was born and raised in Monroeville and previously served as the Director of the Division of Mohs surgery at Allegheny Health Network. He graduated from Penn State with his undergraduate degree in bio-mechanical engineering and his doctorate in medicine. He completed his residency training at University of Vermont Medical Center, serving as Chief resident. Dr. Hankinson has completed fellowship training in skin cancer surgery and advanced facial reconstruction at Geisinger Medical Center, under Mohs surgeons including renowned Dr. Victor Marks. He stayed on staff at Geisinger as an associate Professor of Medicine, teaching Mohs surgery, prior to returning to his hometown. His professional interests lie in skin cancer detection and treatment including Mohs surgery and reconstruction.
