Patients also receive ZO® Medical Calming Crème-Post Procedure Skin Relief to use at home after the procedure, keeping any discomfort to a minimum.

Who Is a ZO® 3-Step Peel Best Suited For?

For best results, your skin should be pre-conditioned with the use of a retinol or retinoic acid for 4-6 weeks prior to treatment. Following a proper skin care regimen also helps protect your skin and enhance the peel’s effectiveness.
What Does the ZO® 3-Step Feel Like?
Most patients only have minor discomfort, experiencing a mild to moderate burning sensation for 5-10 minutes. During the procedure, the office may have a fan or a zimmer gently blow cool air on your skin to help alleviate any feelings of discomfort.
How Long Does It Take to See Results?
Post-treatment peeling is also typically mild to moderate, aided by the ZO® Medical Calming Crème-Post Procedure Skin Relief provided for you to take home.
The healing process usually lasts about a week, with 2-3 days of redness and 3-5 days of peeling. Avoid excessive sweating or sun exposure for at least 1-2 weeks after the procedure – otherwise, you can live your life as usual. Final results will take six weeks to appear, but you should begin to see improvement after just two weeks.
