How many Morpheus8 treatments will I need?
The number of Morpheus8 treatments a patient needs varies from case to case. But the usual recommendation is 1-3 treatments, with sessions spaced 4-6 weeks apart.
What happens during Morpheus8 treatment?
Morpheus8 treatment takes an hour or less, depending on the extent of the area(s) being treated. Before treatment begins, your Forefront dermatologist will numb the area to minimize any discomfort.
The Morpheus8 device uses state-of-the-art technology to insert 24 silicone-coated needles beneath the surface of your skin and into the superficial fat. The depth of needle penetration depends on the area(s) being treated and your desired results. Once the needles are in place, the device delivers a pulse of radiofrequency energy that tightens soft tissue, coagulates fat, and kickstarts the production of collagen and elastin.
After treatment, your skin might be slightly red – similar to a mild sunburn. Any redness should subside within 24 hours. Improvement is usually noticeable after one treatment as your collagen and elastin production begins to ramp up. However, you will likely need two additional treatments to achieve optimal results.
How long does Morpheus8 last?
Improvement should continue for up to three months after Morpheus8 treatment as the increased collagen and elastin develop. This new and improved skin tissue is then subject to the natural effects of aging as well as your lifestyle choices and skin care practices.
It’s common for patients to repeat Morpheus8 treatment every 12-18 months, although the results could last as long as 2-3 years – a very worthwhile investment.
