William Farmer, MD, FAAD
Dr. William Farmer is a board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon specializing in medical and cosmetic dermatology, as well as skin cancer detection and treatment.
Notably, he is one of the only fellowship-trained Mohs surgeons in the world who has completed an additional fellowship in cosmetic dermatologic surgery.
He received his bachelor’s degree in biology and business administration from the University of Richmond and his medical degree at Georgetown University School of Medicine. He completed his internal medicine prelim from the University of Maryland Medical Center and was chief resident in dermatology at West Virginia University. He also completed his Mohs fellowship with the American College of Mohs Surgery and a cosmetic dermatologic surgery fellowship with the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. Dr. Farmer has been featured in multiple publications, writing about various dermatologic conditions.
Dr. Farmer specializes in medical and cosmetic dermatology, including:
- Skin cancer detection and treatment with Mohs surgery
- Treatment of acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, rashes, warts and more
- Aesthetic services for skin rejuvenation including Botox and filler treatments
From serving at soup kitchens to journalism and social media marketing, Dr. Farmer likes volunteering in his spare time. He enjoys scuba diving on the Great Barrier Reef, designing craft beers, and hiking the Great Walks in New Zealand and the Alps in Bavaria.
Dr. Farmer is accepting new patients in general, surgical and cosmetic dermatology.
