Laura R. Klein, MD, FAAD
Dr. Klein grew up in St. Louis, Missouri, and received an undergraduate degree in nursing from the University of Kansas in 1981. While practicing nursing, she studied pre-med at the University of Kansas and in 1982 moved to Louisville and studied at the University of Louisville. Dr. Klein attended the University of Louisville Medical School and graduated in 1988. She completed an internship in Internal Medicine followed by her dermatology residency at the University of Louisville where she finished her training in 1992. Dr. Klein is board certified in Dermatology and maintains this status with regular recertification.
She is gratis faculty at the University of Louisville and is a clinical professor teaching the residents at the Veterans Administration Dermatology Clinic. Dr. Klein also volunteers at the Family Community Clinic. She is a member of the Greater Louisville Medical Society, Kentucky Medical Society, Kentucky Dermatologic Society, and the American Academy of Dermatology. She is married to Dr. Jon Klein, a physician with the University of Louisville. They have two daughters, Rachel and Sarah, and a grandson.
