Aleksandra Florek, MD, FAAD
Originally from the Midwest, Dr. Aleksandra Florek is thrilled to be in Crown Point, reunited with family after years of extensive training all over the world. As a board-certified dermatologist and Mohs surgeon, Dr. Florek has in-depth training in the field of dermatology, as well as, a background in research and clinical trials – making her well-equipped to treat her patients with the newest and most up-to-date treatments. Additionally, she has authored numerous scientific publications and book chapters and continues to pursue additional education so that she may always give her patients the opportunity for the best treatment success.
As a dermatologist, Dr. Florek is thorough, personable, and compassionate. She prides herself on being a great listener and treating her patients just as she would want someone to treat her own family. She goes out of her way to find patients the most cost-efficient options to treat their skin or buy their medications. Dr. Florek specializes in skin cancer detection and treatment, including Mohs micrographic surgery and complex facial reconstructive surgery. She provides treatment for common and complex skin, hair, and nail conditions including, but not limited to, acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, and cutaneous lymphoma. Additionally, Dr. Florek provides cosmetic treatments for skin rejuvenation including neuromodulators (Botox, Dysport, Xeomin) and soft tissue fillers (Juvederm, Restylane, Sculptra, Radiesse), fractional laser resurfacing, and sclerotherapy for leg veins.
Dr. Florek understands that skin and cosmetic issues affect the appearance and thus affect both the psychological and physical well-being of her patients. She lives by the notion that being a dermatologist and Mohs surgeon is almost like being an artist working with a canvas. She can change some aspects to give her patients more youthful skin, help them get rid of their acne, make their psoriasis or eczema get under control, or remove their skin cancer and subsequently do a beautiful job with reconstruction. When her patients see and love the results she helped them achieve, it brings her such great joy and is truly the highlight of her days.
Dr. Florek is fluent in English and Polish and proficient in Spanish.
