A Saint Louis area native, Dr. Stengel received her B.S. degree (magna cum laude) in chemistry from Truman State University and her M.D. degree with honors from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Medicine in 1999, where she was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. She then completed an internal medicine internship and a dermatology residency at Southern Illinois University in Springfield, Illinois.

Saw several doctors in the past with no answers for my condition. First visit with Dr. Fanderclai and sge was first doctor to do biopsy and diagnosed my condition. Very professional and sympathetic to my rare skun condition. I would recommend her for anyone who needs a great dermatologist.
