Karlee was great - a good listener and responsive to my questions. I did have to wait 30 minutes beyond my appointment time to be seen which is why I didn’t rate a 5 (that’s a practice issue, not a Karlee issue).

We were there in October for a new skin rash and could only be seen for that and not his annual skin check. So we had to schedule a different appointment for just his annual skin check, which was his most recent appointment. However, his skin rash from the first appointment never improved. I had called before his appointment for a different prescription and was given a new medication to try on him. But the new cream never worked. When we were taken back to the room we didn’t wait long at all for Karlee to come in and check my father. Although we were there for the annual exam (bc of my father’s skin cancer in 2020) she looked at his worsened skin rash and did biopsy it and requested blood work. Once she was done, she asked if I had any other questions. I said, are you going to do my father’s annual skin check bc that’s why we rescheduled. She said, “technically I can’t treat 2 different diagnoses in the same day since I already treated his rash”. I understood what she meant but his rash was angrier than the first time we were there but he also needed his annual exam bc of his history with skin cancer. Karlee had a very busy schedule that day (as I’m sure everyday) but she found a way to fit my father’s annual exam into her schedule. She was telling me that her company is required to treat patients every 10 minutes. I don’t think you can give “good” quality care in 10 minutes. People are paying high copays/deductibles and possibly waiting months to be seen. Patients want one on one care and to be heard. I think that Forefront dermatology needs to consider how much time they spend with their patients bc 10 minutes is not enough time. What I look for in a health care provider is good patient care, not being rushed and someone who truly cares about what they do and how they’re improving the life of that patient. My father and I really appreciate Karlee taking the extra time to finish my fathers exam. Plus, it saved me an extra trip bc I also work and have to arrange my schedule to get my father to his appointments. Again, a big thank you to Karlee for taking her time and making my father a priority. It’s employees like Karlee you need to keep and value her dedication to great patient care!
