Dr. Werchniak obtained his medical degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine in Charlottesville. After completing his dermatology residency at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth, he had a number of pivotal leadership roles, serving as the clinical director for the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston and the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s Center of Cutaneous Oncology.

Dr. Werchniak founded the Cutaneous Oncology Fellowship Program and served as medical director of their Skin Cancer Screening Program. In addition, Dr. Werchniak was an associate director for the medicine/dermatology residency in the Harvard Combined Dermatology Residency Training Program. Dr. Werchniak has also published numerous articles related to his field of expertise.

Recognized for his outstanding service, Dr. Werchniak is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. He has been chosen for Castle Connolly Top Doctors Awards 2019-2020 and as a Top Doctor by New Hampshire Magazine.

Dr. Werchniak was compassionate, understanding and took his time to sit and listen about my larger health issues to try and help me figure out how to solve a puzzle dermatology alone would not be able to. I have seen a lot of Doctors and most have shown little interest in real problem solving in appointments. If a lab can't solve it, they simply don't give it the time of day. Dr. Werchniak was generous with his time, expertise and compassion and was probably was one of the best experiences I have had with doctor since developing my complex medical issue.
