A Saint Louis area native, Dr. Stengel received her B.S. degree (magna cum laude) in chemistry from Truman State University and her M.D. degree with honors from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Medicine in 1999, where she was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. She then completed an internal medicine internship and a dermatology residency at Southern Illinois University in Springfield, Illinois.

I called for an appointment because I had some troubling spots on my face and leg. I was totally surprised when I was told there was a cancelation and I could come in the same day! Thank you so much! The spot on my face turned out to need surgery to remove. What a great group of people! Today I had my yearly check and nothing was found. I'm not sure who was happier, me or the doctor!
