Katherine Hunt, MD, FAAD

Dr. Katherine Hunt is a board-certified dermatologist passionate about all skin conditions but takes special clinic interest in immunocompromised patients (HIV-positive, transplant and cancer patients), skin cancer prevention and treatment, pediatric dermatology and aesthetic treatments. Dr. Hunt owes the majority of her success to her husband, former Olympian Dr. Raymond Bryce Hunt, and her parents, Robert and Mazie Marchiony, retired teachers in Hoover, Alabama. She is extraordinarily thankful for her two children and all the joy that they bring.

Outside of the office, Dr. Hunt continues to teach UAB dermatology residents in both clinical and didactic settings while also giving lectures to medical departments on dermatology and immunocompromised populations.

I am fine with Dr. Hunt although I miss Dr. Jacobson and her experience and her familiarity. I do not like the way this office has become more concerned with copays and forms than with patients. I think that is the wave of the future of medicine, unfortunately.

I’m a long time patient and have had several procedures performed at this clinic including removing cysts, pre-cancers, treating Poison Ivy, allergy screening and others. They now also care for my son who has eczema.
