MILWAUKEE – (November 13, 2015) – Forefront Dermatology, formerly Dermatology Associates of Wisconsin, S.C., is pleased to announce that it is planning to open a new dermatology clinic in Oconomowoc at 1320 Pabst Farms Circle, Suite 180, in mid-February of 2016. Dr. Garvey is a board certified dermatologist specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of general skin conditions such as acne, atopic dermatitis (eczema), psoriasis, and the treatment of skin cancer. Dr. Garvey’s expertise also includes cosmetic procedures, including Botox, and dermal fillers. She is currently seeing patients in Forefront Dermatology’s Beaver Dam, Wis. clinic at 700 Hillcrest Court. Prior to working in Beaver Dam, Dr. Garvey practiced in the Oconomowoc area for four years. She lives in Delafield with her husband and three children. Dr. Garvey will start seeing patients in the Oconomowoc clinic in May 2016.
Dr. Burnett is a board certified dermatologist and an American College of Mohs Surgery trained fellow. His areas of expertise include the diagnosis and treatment of general dermatology conditions such as acne, eczema and the diagnosis and treatment of skin cancer. Dr. Burnett is currently seeing patients in Forefront Dermatology’s Glendale, Wis., Wauwatosa, Wis. and Muskego Wis. locations. He will start performing Mohs surgery in the Oconomowoc clinic starting in February 2016.
In addition to doctors Garvey and Burnett, the clinic will be staffed by a board certified physician assistant, Candace Bering. Candace specializes in acne treatment, psoriasis treatment, including biologics and phototherapy, wart treatment and skin cancer detection. She is currently seeing patients in Forefront Dermatology’s Wauwatosa, Wis. and Muskego, Wis. clinics. Candace started practicing dermatology in Oconomowoc from 2002 – 2008. She lives in Delafield with her husband and two children.

Dr. Kathleen Garvey
Kathleen Garvey earned her undergraduate degree from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, and her M.D. from the University of Wisconsin Medical School. Garvey completed her residency at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Fla. She is certified with the American Board of Dermatology and is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery and Waukesha County Medical Society.
Christopher Burnett earned his undergraduate degree at Northwestern University and graduated with his M.D. from the Medical College of Wisconsin. Burnett completed his residency at the Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit and his Mohs fellowship at UT-Southwestern in Texas. Burnett is certified by the American Board of Dermatology and completed a fellowship as a trained Mohs surgeon from the American College of Mohs Surgery. Burnett is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery and the American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery.
Candice R. Bering earned her undergraduate degree at Marquette University and her PA-C from Marquette University. She is certified with the National Commission Certification for Physician Assistants. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Society for Dermatology Physician Assistants.
