Bellafill® Treatment Experts in Pleasant Prairie, WI
Bellafill® is the only long-term filler that’s FDA approved to treat distensible acne scars for up to one year. In just one office visit, you can safely treat your acne scars and leave feeling confident that you’ll look your best long-term.
How does Bellafill® work?
This dermal filler is a combination of polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) microspheres and bovine collagen. These microspheres provide a foundation for smoother skin and added volume, and remaining in your skin after the initial collagen has been absorbed. The microspheres further stimulate your natural collagen production, with effects that last up to five years or more for fine lines around the mouth and at least a year for acne scars.
What can Bellafill® treat ?
- Improving smile lines (also called nasolabial folds)
- Deep acne scars on your cheeks
What Results Can Be Expected from Bellafill® ?
You’ll probably notice an immediate improvement in your skin’s texture, from the collagen in Bellafill®. But you may have some mild swelling from the injection, which can last for a week or two and mask your results. Some people also develop bruises at the injection site, which can last up to two weeks. Your final Bellafill® results should be visible three to six months after your treatment.
Clinical studies found that 80% of patients who had the treatment for smile lines were still happy with their results after five years. A similar percentage of patients who used it to smooth pitted acne scars were satisfied with their results after one year.
