What is Halo® laser treatment?
Halo® combines two laser wavelengths to get rid of signs of aging while simultaneously smoothing skin to give it a healthy glow. Ask your Forefront provider if Halo® is right for your aesthetic goals.
REQUEST NOWHow does Halo® work?
Halo® is the world’s first hybrid fractional laser system, meaning it delivers both ablative and non-ablative wavelengths. This allows us to treat the skin’s surface layer with the ablative laser while also penetrating deeper layers with the non-ablative laser. Essentially, at the same time that age spots and wrinkles are being removed, collagen is being produced.
What can Halo® treat?
Halo® can treat age spots, wrinkles and pores without the invasiveness of traditional fractional resurfacing. Patients who want to minimize visible signs related to aging, sun damage, discoloration, enlarged pores, and uneven skin tone can benefit from Halo® laser treatment.
What is a Halo® session like?
A topical anesthetic may be applied on the treatment area(s) to eliminate discomfort during the procedure. Your Forefront provider will then treat each measured section by uniformly rolling the Halo® handpiece over the skin until the system recognizes the treatment is complete. Most patients feel a warm sensation throughout the procedure. After treatment is complete, the device will blow cool air across your face to cool it down.
A full treatment lasts 20 to 60 minutes, depending on the areas you’re having treated.
What results can be expected from Halo®?
For the first 24 hours you should keep your skin protected according to your clinician’s instructions. You will likely have mild swelling and redness in the treated area, which will begin to subside in three to four days.
After the first 24 hours, your skin will begin to peel. Once it peels completely within a few days after treatment, you will see improvements in overall tone and texture, significant removal of discoloration, reduction in fine lines, reduced pore size, and increased skin reflectivity and glow.
Your Halo® results will last for years to come, but you should continue to keep your skin protected at all times using UV sunscreen to protect your new, healthy skin.
