Dr. Qaren Quartey is a board-certified dermatologist at Forefront Dermatology in Frederick, Maryland. She earned her medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore and completed her dermatology residency at Howard University Hospital in Washington, D.C. This my first time seeing Dr.Quartey. She was amazing. She listened to me and took her time giving me a skin check. Her assistant was amazing. I have some anxiety and a bit of a germaphob and the assistant was wonderful about it. She did a great job. From the time you step into the door everyone was very friendly.

I had an area of concern on my arm and needed to find a dermatologist. I was searching the internet for one here in Frederick. I was very happy that I was able to get appointment for the next day!! I waited a while to be called back for my appointment but both the Medical Assistant Skye and Dr. Quartey both apologized several times and explained it was due to a couple emergencies. I appreciated them letting me know that because if I had an emergency I would want them to spend the time with me! I would highly recommend Dr Quartey - she put me at ease right away. She explained in detail what I had and the treatment for it. She is very friendly and personable. I booked an appointment to go back for a full body scan next month.

This was a new doctor in the practice for me… She was upbeat, friendly, cheerful, and willing to do whatever you needed her to do to make you feel comfortable as a patient with any Further assistance in the examining room or further tests. Was accommodating and helpful and answered all my questions.

Dr Quartey is knowledgeable and has the ability to translate that information. I was only in for a routine screening. It did feel rushed and often rehearsed. Additionally, the paper drapes was not adequate and tore easily. Otherwise, top notch.

She’s like a ray of sunshine when she enters the room. Yet, so professional, tells you everything she sees on you, explains it do you know what to look for in moles, advice on the level of SFP you need and more. Answered all my concerns and I look forward to seeing her again next year. PS: your office r staff was so nice too!

First visit at office was good for skin check. I do wish they gave you a gown not just a thin drape to use to cover up. They tear too easily and not comfortable especially for women who are trying to cover top and bottom

I have to say this is the happiest office I have ever encountered. I was pleased that Laura was there checking us in. Everyone including the doctor was upbeat but professional. How refreshing it was to be treated this way. I was very pleased I called and changed to this dermatology practice.
