Gives good procedures to follow

Very dismissive and not thorough exam. Poor and improper evaluation and conclusions/diagnosis, procedure and uncomfortable investigation. Unprepared with no knowledge. I do not recommend this doctor. Poor bedside manner, listening skills and speech. My appointment at this office was disappointing. The clinic did not have my prior dermatology records, and there was no awareness of my skin cancer history or the purpose of my visit. The exam was not thorough; only my torso was briefly checked, and a full‑body skin exam was not performed. Given my history, I expected a more careful review, but the visit felt hurried and somewhat dismissive. No additional testing or follow‑up was suggested. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this provider for patients seeking thorough dermatologic care.

Doctor Berkson has been a lifesaver for my father who got a bad eczema-like extensive rash for the past year, and other dermatologists he had seen before him did not know why and how to really help aside from standard creams that did not help much. Dr. Berkson was the Only doctor who actually diagnosed my father’s rare condition with appropriate medical tests that he ordered, and was then able to find the right treatment. He is such a knowledgeable doctor, and my father is very grateful for his help. The nurse and the front desk specialist at Forefront Lincoln Park have also been incredibly helpful and kind to us all. Thank you!
