Jason D. Givan, MD, FAAD, FACMS

Jason Givan earned his medical degree from the West Virginia University School of Medicine in 2002, completed an internal medicine internship and residency at West Virginia University Hospitals in 2005, and completed a dermatology residency at Saint Louis University Hospital in 2009. He then completed a fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery and cutaneous oncology at the University of Massachusetts in 2010.

Following his training, he joined the academic faculty of the University of Massachusetts, before moving to Lynchburg in 2011 where he began practicing as the only Mohs micrographic surgeon in the Lynchburg area.

As much as I think of Dr. Givan, I do have a concern. On my last visit I wasn't seen until 40 minutes after my appointment time. Two visits ago I waited an hour and fifteen minutes. minutes after my appointment time. I do realize that "stuff" happens but I am getting the impression that my time is concidered less important than Dr. Givan's.This may be true but I also feel a dermatologist shouldn't have that many emergencies which may mean he is over booked. I am not upset about this enough to stop seeing Dr. Givan but you did ask for comments which I offering good faith.

Great experience, all the staff were exoerianced and courteous. They explained everything and showed me everything they did. My only drawback was that the doctors don't call the meds into the pharmacy until later in the day which means another trip out the next day.
