We had a wonderful experience! The dermatologist was very kind, patient, and attentive with my son. She listened to our concerns, and made sure we felt comfortable throughout the appointment. You can genuinely tell that she loves what she does and is passionate about her work and her patients. It’s always reassuring as a parent when a doctor is not only knowledgeable but also caring and patient with children. I would definitely recommend her to other families!

I was very impressed by Dr. Harvey. She confidently made her prognosis - after I had previously seen others who plain got it wrong. Dr. Harvey has a nice bedside manner and is at the same time direct and to the point. I'd highly recommend her.

I’ve struggled with hair loss for years and felt completely lost about what to do. As a Black woman with a challenging 4C texture, my hair is a huge part of my identity, so watching it thin and break over time was devastating. When I finally decided to seek professional help, I knew I needed a Black dermatologist who truly understood my hair. I found exactly that in Dr. Adekemi Akingboye Harvey, MD, FAAD. She diagnosed me with Central Centrifugal Cicatricial Alopecia (CCCA) and prescribed two medications—one of which she explained is specially mixed with oil by a single company in Tennessee so it adheres better to textured hair. That alone told me she gets our hair. She even shared her own personal experience and her sister’s, which made me feel incredibly seen and understood. My hair is thriving now, and I’m beyond thrilled with the results. I’ve been recommending Dr. Harvey to everyone I know.
