What is Bellafill® treatment?
Looking for a safe, effective, and long-lasting solution for deep facial lines, folds, wrinkles, or severe scarring from acne? Forefront offers treatment with Bellafill®, a dermal filler that smooths away imperfections in just one visit and restores your confidence.
Bellafill® is an FDA-approved injectable filler that uses a combination of polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) microspheres and bovine collagen. These microspheres (tiny particles) are deposited into the skin’s surface, filling in lines and pitted scars. After the initial collagen is absorbed by the body, the microspheres remain and continue to stimulate your natural collagen production.
The effects of treatment can last up to five or more years for fine smile lines around the mouth. Bellafill® is the only FDA-approved filler that offers long-term treatment for deep, indented acne scars with significant results lasting at least a year.
What can Bellafill® do?
- Reduce the depth of nasolabial folds (smile lines)
- Fill in deep acne scars on the cheeks
What to expect when getting Bellafill® injections
Bellafill® is injected into the facial folds or scarred areas with a fine needle. Patients often notice an immediate improvement in the skin’s texture as the filler plumps up the area and restores volume. The series of injections takes just a few minutes in our clinic.
After treatment, it is normal to have some mild swelling. This typically lasts up to a week and may mask the initial results. Some people also can develop bruising at the injection site that may last up to two weeks. Your final Bellafill® results will improve over time, with the full effect visible three to six months after your treatment.
What do patients think of Bellafill®?
Clinical studies show that 80% of patients who have undergone Bellafill® injections for smile lines were still happy with their results after five years. A similar percentage of patients who used it to smooth pitted acne scars were satisfied with their results after one year.
