Rachel Gillespie, PA-C, has been a physician assistant since 2011. She completed her undergraduate and graduate degree training at James Madison University. After completion of her Master's degree, Rachel worked in Southern Maryland practicing Emergency Medicine. She moved to Harrisonburg in 2014 where she worked at Sentra RMH Joint and Spine Service and Emergicare.

Specializing in Dermatology has been a lifelong goal for Rachel. She is proud to be a member of the Access Dermatology team.

Outside of practicing medicine Rachel enjoys spending time with her husband and dog, cooking and hiking, and kayaking throughout the Shenandoah Valley.

Rachel and staff was very nice. I went for a skin check. Rachel was very thorough. My only suggestion of improvement about the office is that I did the check in before with Phreesia and then was asked for info again when I arrived (pictures of insurance card, photo ID and insurance information). When I said I completed it online, the receptionist said that they have 3 systems to enter it into. Why not customize Phreesia to not ask for stuff you know you will get in the office. It would save staff and patient time. I work with Phreesia at my work so I know it’s very customizable. The online check in did save a lot of consent signing when I got there.

My experience with Rachelle has been outstanding. She always listens to all of my concerns and she answers all my questions. Rachelle has a wonderful personality and she is very professional. Rachel and her team at Forefront Dermatology were great. Both my husband and I (at different times) have had appointments with Rachel. She is very thorough and listened to all my concerns.
