Melissa was born and raised in northeastern Maryland. She completed her undergraduate and graduate studies at Marietta College in Ohio. After completing her clinical rotations in Morgantown, West Virginia and throughout Maryland, she joined a dermatology practice near her hometown. She practiced there for three years and then joined her husband in Pittsburgh where she began practicing with Drs. Francis, Costa, Welsh and Stephen. She resides in Allison Park with her husband Ryan, their dog, and three cats.

No one looks forward to going to the doctor, but Melissa's expertise & sunny disposition makes it less of a chore. I have complete confidence in her knowledge of every aspect of dermatology, and she shares her diagnoses in a caring and straightforward manner.
