Margaret J. Constante, DNP, FNP-BC

Margaret J. Constante is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner earning her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Old Dominion University in 2014 and her Master’s Degree in the Science of Nursing from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2004. She is a native of Virginia Beach and received her Associates and Bachelor’s degrees from Norfolk State University. She has 18 years of pediatric and adult dermatology experience in the central Virginia area, was an adjunct faculty member for Old Dominion University, School of Nursing Doctoral Program, and served as a nurse practitioner preceptor.

She is passionate about general and surgical dermatology care, enjoys teaching patients, and family members and has a special interest especially in eczema and telemedicine. She has presented on telemedicine and its uses in dermatology multiple times to the Virginia Council of Nurse Practitioners.

Margaret, known as Maggie to her friends, colleagues and patients, believes that good communication, trust, and patient advocacy are necessary for delivering quality patient care. In her time off, she volunteers as part of two pet therapy dog teams with her shih-tzus and enjoys spending time outdoors and traveling with her partner.
