Kamal Chantal completed an undergraduate degree in athletic training at Longwood Univeristy in 2002. He went on to earn a master’s degree in physician assistant studies at Lock Haven University in 2004. Following his training, he moved to upstate New York and worked in orthopaedic surgery for 2 years.

He moved back to his home state of Virginia in 2006 and worked in orthopaedic/spine surgery until joining RidgeView Dermatology in January of 2017.

Kamal and his wife Alexis have 2 children. They enjoy cooking, gardening, and horseback riding as a family. He also enjoys playing golf.

Kamal Chantal is my kind of medical provider! Easy going, reassuring, knowledgeable and very skilled. During a procedure as a PA-C at Ridgeview Dermatology, he keeps you informed of each surgical step, asks multiple times how you're doing and makes conversation with you. He makes sure you understand post procedure care directions. He is pleasantly patient with any and all questions you may have. He earns an A+ in all areas from me!!

The folks at Ridgeview Dermatology, specifically Kamal Chantal, have done a great job with me. I get an annual check, and they are fast but thorough. Fortunately I have not had any major problems, but they give good advice for the more minor stuff too like dry skin, calluses, etc as well. Good people!
