Dr. Caitlin Farmer is a board-certified dermatologist specializing in medical and cosmetic dermatology. She is an Atlanta native, a Pace Academy “lifer” and a Brave’s fan. She received a bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering from Duke University. Following graduation, she worked as a mechanical engineer designing missile-launching tanks before deciding to pursue a different career path in medicine. She earned her medical degree at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, where she remained for her internal medicine internship. She then completed her dermatology residency at the prestigious Henry Ford Hospital program in Detroit where she had the opportunity to learn from leaders in the fields of skin cancer detection and monitoring, pigmentary skin disorders, phototherapy, laser treatments, pediatric dermatology and complex medical dermatology.
After graduating from residency, Dr. Farmer developed a successful practice in Dallas, Texas, but ultimately decided a move back home to Atlanta was best for her family and career. She enjoys goofing around with her husband and young daughter, traveling abroad, watching documentaries and college football, listening to podcasts, and long walks on the beach (with sun protection).
Dr. Farmer specializes in medical and cosmetic dermatology, including:
• Skin cancer detection and treatment
• Treatment of acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, skin dyspigmentation, HS, warts and complex medical dermatology
