Andrew Tran, MD

Andrew Tran, MD, FAAD, is a board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon serving patients throughout the Chicagoland area. He specializes in skin cancer detection, treatment, and dermatologic surgery. 

A Chicago native, Dr. Tran earned his bachelor's degree in biology and chemistry from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, graduating with honors and among the top students in his class. He received his medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine and completed his dermatology residency at Case Western Reserve University, where he served as Chief Resident. He then completed an ACGME-accredited fellowship in Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology at Houston Methodist Hospital and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. 

Dr. Tran has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and textbook chapters and has presented his work at national meetings. He has received multiple honors for his academic achievements, research contributions, leadership, and volunteer service. Through his continued scholarly and professional involvement, he remains committed to advancing dermatologic care and improving patient outcomes. 

In practice, Dr. Tran provides comprehensive surgical and dermatological care, with a particular focus on the diagnosis and treatment of skin cancers, including basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, and melanoma. As a fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon, he combines meticulous surgical technique with a personalized approach to achieve the highest cure rates while preserving both function and appearance. He is dedicated to delivering compassionate, evidence-based, patient-centered care that prioritizes each patient's health, comfort, and quality of life. 

Outside of medicine, Dr. Tran enjoys staying active, exploring new restaurants, and spending time outdoors with family and friends.
