Dr Lyons made me very uncomfortable. She did not make me feel seen or heard. She wanted to treat my skin issue with something unnecessary she could prescribe, and therefore make a quick buck off of. When I told her the website says she offers skillful procedures like subcision and punch elevation treatment, she informed me she doesn’t provide that and was unaware of her own website offerings. She further said it’s just part of Forefront Dermatology’s website template. Sorry, I didn’t know I was going to the McDonald’s of dermatologists. She was short with me during the appointment and said if I’m looking for skin procedures I could go to someone she recommends, who has at least a 3 month wait list. In the same breath, she stood up to leave. I only got to see her for about 6 minutes. As I was going to pay at the front desk, I asked to see Dr Lyons again, just to let her know how disappointed I was that I drove an hour and a half to see a dermatologist who was supposed to provide the

Update: I appreciate the templated reply, but my concerns cannot be resolved through a corporate link or an offline conversation. The issue is not a “communication misunderstanding” — it is a pattern of dismissiveness, inaccurate information, and superficial assessment that I’ve encountered at multiple dermatology practices in this region including this one. What’s deeply frustrating is the culture of deflection and infantilization: instead of addressing the concerns publicly or acknowledging the shortcomings in evaluation, the response funnels patients into private channels that ultimately protect the institution rather than improve care. My review stands exactly as written. I hope this feedback encourages genuine self-reflection and higher clinical standards, because patients deserve more than scripted responses and surface-level engagement. I always have an amazing experience with Dr. Lyons! I've recommended her to multiple friends and family members and they all love her too. I go to her Novi office and am in and out with minimal wait time and everyone there is so friendly. Highly recommend!

Alexis is great and so sweet. My third baby caused some bad acne and she’s been so understanding and caring throughout the process of getting my skin back to normal. All while I've been breastfeeding. ❤️
