A Board-certified dermatologist in both Europe and the United States, Dr. Vincenzo Giannelli earned his medical degree and completed his dermatology residency at the the University of Rome. He relocated to Washington, DC and completed an additional residency at Washington Hospital Center GWU. Dr. Giannelli is knowledgeable in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. Professional areas of interest include early skin cancer detection and treatment, treatment of acne, rosacea, psoriasis, eczema, and hyperhidrosis.
Dr. Gianelli has been recognized by the Washingtonian eight times as one of the best Dermatologists in the Washington, DC area. He spent 21 years in academics as the assistant clinical professor of dermatology at Washington Hospital Center and Georgetown University Dermatology Residency program. Dr. Giannelli also served as President of the Washington DC Dermatological Society in 2008 and is currently a member of the AAD advisory board.
