Yang Li, MD, FAAD

Dr. Yang “Sunny” Li, MD, is a board-certified dermatologist and an ACGME fellowship-trained Mohs micrographic and reconstructive surgeon. A magna cum laude graduate from Columbia University in New York City, Dr. Li earned her medical degree from Washington University in St. Louis. She completed her dermatology residency at Saint Louis University, serving as Chief Resident in her final year, followed by a fellowship in Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology.

Dr. Li specializes in Mohs micrographic surgery, surgical reconstruction, and skin cancer detection and management in the Richmond metro area. Believing in a patient-centric approach, Dr. Li prioritizes customizing treatment plans that ensure her patients are comfortable and well-informed. Her treatment philosophy involves active listening, addressing concerns, and collaboratively formulating a treatment plan to help patients feel confident in their care. 

Outside of her medical practice, Dr. Li enjoys traveling, yoga, tennis, golf, and exploring new culinary experiences, whether dining out or experimenting with new recipes at home.
