Wendy Cantrell, DNP, CRNP

Wendy is a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner and brings with her almost 20 years of experience in the field of dermatology. Wendy received her undergraduate and master’s degree in nursing from the University of Alabama in Birmingham. In 2011, she earned her doctorate of nursing practice from the same institution, where she later became an Associate Professor in the Department of Dermatology. In addition, Wendy served as the Manager of Clinical Research at the UAB Department of Dermatology since 2000, and has conducted over 100 research studies in the field of dermatology.

Wendy is a founding board member for the Alabama Society of Dermatology Professionals and a faculty member of the Dermatology Education Foundation. She is also a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and the Dermatology Nurses Association. Wendy currently lives in her hometown of Gardendale, Alabama with her husband, Eric and their three children.
