Virginia Schekorra, DO

As a Florida dermatologist, Virginia Schekorra D.O., FAOCD offers personalized treatment plans for those with a wide variety of skin, nail, & hair disorders. She has 34 years experience in clinical dermatology, cosmetic dermatology, pediatric skin conditions, pregnancy skin conditions, cancer treatments, and anti-aging. 

In addition to being a Fellow of the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology (FAOCD) she is a member of Florida Society of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery, Pinellas County Osteopathic Medical Society, Florida Osteopathic Medical Association, and American Academy of Dermatology. She graduated From Northeast Missouri State University earning her BS, BSE, & MS in 1980 and 1981. 

She then earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine (KCOM)in 1988.She trained at Metropolitan General Hospital doing and Internship. Then trained in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Kirksville Osteopathic Hospital. She then trained in Dermatology at Metropolitan Hospital in 1992- 1995. 

She has received the distinction of Top Doctor for several years and has been listed in Who's Who for several years. She taught at KCOM as Associate Professor and has continued to teach and train future doctors and dermatologists throughout her career. She participates in Melanoma Monday Yearly.
