Molly Johnson, MSN, FNP-C

Ms. Johnson is a native of the Shoals Area. She joined Tennessee River Dermatology in 2014. Ms. Johnson has received well over 3000 hours of specialized training in dermatology. She provides a wide variety of dermatological services including complete skin examination, skin biopsy, cryosurgery, acne treatment, eczema, warts, and many other general medical dermatology conditions. She can diagnose, treat, and prescribe appropriate medical therapy for patients of all ages.

Ms. Johnson received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of North Alabama in 2001. She practiced as a Registered Nurse for 12 years in emergency care and outpatient surgery before returning to school. She received her Master of Science in Nursing for Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Alabama in Huntsville where she was selected as a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.

Ms. Johnson is board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and as a Dermatology Certified Nurse Practitioner (DCNP) by the Dermatology Nursing Certification Board. She is licensed as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner and as a Registered Nurse by the Alabama Board of Nursing to practice in the state of Alabama. Ms. Johnson is an active member of the Dermatology Nurses Association and the National Academy of Dermatology Nurse Practitioners. She is also as member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, the Nurse Practitioner Alliance of Alabama, and the North Alabama Nurse Practitioner Association.

Mrs. Johnson worked directly under Dr. Webb’s supervision for 3 years whereby she further refined her skills in skin cancer surveillance and management as well as her general dermatology skills. She currently assists Dr. Webb in the clinical management of his patients’ skin cancer surveillance and general dermatology needs allowing for a more immediate evaluation and shorter wait times for appointments.
