Michael H. Swann, MD, MS

Dr. Michael Swann is a board-certified dermatologist fellowship-trained in Mohs surgery and laser & cosmetic dermatology. Dr. Swann also has extensive experience in cosmetic reconstructive after skin cancer. He is the founder and president of Swann Dermatology. Dr. Swann began performing surgery in Springfield in 2008 and has expanded Swann Dermatology from a staff of 5 to over 70 with locations in Springfield, Hollister, & Lebanon.

His meticulous eye and surgical experience both in skin cancer and reconstructive cosmetic procedures is the foundation of our mission at Swann Dermatology. Dr. Swann’s experience in laser & cosmetic dermatology is nationally respected and he is a national leading dermatologist regularly speaking about Mohs micrographic surgery, complex facial reconstruction, injectables including botox® & fillers, facelifts, resurfacing, and other advanced cosmetic procedures. He believes in a team approach to helping his patients achieve excellent results and has a thoroughly trained staff who focus on skin cancer, reconstruction, and cosmetic procedures. He is a proud member of the American College of Mohs Surgery (ACMS), the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS), and the American Society for Lasers in Medicine and Surgery (ASLMS).

Dr. Swann is a native of Springfield, Missouri. He graduated from Kickapoo High School and Missouri State University. He went on to the University of Oklahoma and received the highest honor of Alpha Omega Alpha from the College of Medicine. Dr. Swann went on to internship in Internal Medicine and Residency in Dermatology at the University of Missouri-Columbia. He served as chief resident his final year in residency. He then completed a fellowship in Procedural Dermatology (Mohs Surgery, Laser & Cosmetic Dermatology) at Scripps Clinic in La Jolla, California under the directorship of Hubert T. Greenway, MD and E. Victor Ross, MD and under the direction of Seaver Soon, MD and Dan Zelac, MD. He has done additional training with renowned facelift surgeon Dr. Greg Morganroth and tumescent liposuction master Dr. Jeffrey Klein. Dr. Swann is an accomplished musician, commercial pilot, enjoys golf, wakeboarding, snowboarding, mountain biking, and spending time with his three children and wife.
