Margaret J. Constante is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner earning her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Old Dominion University in 2014 and her Master’s Degree in the Science of Nursing from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2004. She is a native of Virginia Beach and received her Associates and Bachelor’s degrees from Norfolk State University. She has 18 years of pediatric and adult dermatology experience in the central Virginia area, was an adjunct faculty member for Old Dominion University, School of Nursing Doctoral Program, and served as a nurse practitioner preceptor.

She is passionate about general and surgical dermatology care, enjoys teaching patients, and family members and has a special interest especially in eczema and telemedicine. She has presented on telemedicine and its uses in dermatology multiple times to the Virginia Council of Nurse Practitioners.

Margaret, known as Maggie to her friends, colleagues and patients, believes that good communication, trust, and patient advocacy are necessary for delivering quality patient care. In her time off, she volunteers as part of two pet therapy dog teams with her shih-tzus and enjoys spending time outdoors and traveling with her partner.

I am new to Medicare to Medicare Part B I am also new to getting The practice of getting referrals before I see specialist so when I receive the referral to go to forefront dermatology I wasn't exactly thrilled for two reasons One I made the appointment in March I was given a date in July for an appointment and second because I did not know anything about this practice nor did I know anything about Margaret. When speaking with a friend we figured out that my friend also has been too farfront and seen Margaret and I was told wonderful things about her. Fast forward to July 7th I was first seen by a nurse who was extremely pleasant very knowledgeable when Maggie came in to examine me It took less than 5 minutes My fears were gone . Maggie took the time too explain everything to me she answered all my questions and was extremely helpful when I asked a bunch of what if questions. I would say for anyone who is not sure about making an appointment at forefront put your fears aside I am sure

I was able to get an appointment quickly and was seen within a week! Dr. Margaret and her staff were very warm and welcoming, they were quickly able to determine that I had developed rosacea, she prescribed me a topical cream and scheduled a follow up for 6 weeks. She also provided me with some reading on the condition and a website where I could get face washes and products specifically made for rosacea and recognized by the national rosacea association. With the topical cream she prescribed and the new face wash and serum my rosacea is already 75 % better. I absolutely recommend them 10/10!
