A native of Bardstown, Margaret Hamilton is a talented and dedicated board-certified nurse practitioner committed to providing comprehensive and compassionate care to her patients. Margaret earned her Bachelors of Nursing from Miami University In 2010. Upon graduation, she was accepted into Vanderbilt University’s Nurse Residency Program. She worked as an oncology/medicine RN for several years and completed her Masters of Nursing in 2013 from Vanderbilt University. She then began practicing as a dermatology nurse practitioner within a large multi-specialty physician practice in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. In 2015, she completed her Doctorate of Nursing Practice. She has specialized in Dermatology since 2012.

Margaret’s passion for dermatology extends beyond her education. She is an active member of professional organizations, including the Dermatology Nurses Association and the Kentucky Coalition of Nurse Practitioners and Nurse-Midwives. By staying connected to these associations, Margaret remains current with the latest dermatological research and treatment advancements.

I have been coming here for over a year now and have had a couple treatments. First was cryotherapy on a few Actinic Keratosis spots on my face. Went back a year later and they prescribed me some cream to use for 2 weeks on the same spots. After using the cream I went back for a follow up and had only stopped using the cream for 10 days. The spots were in the healing process and pink after the scabbing took place. They were already looking better than they had in years, but then the APRN decided to do cryo again which I did not understand and she provided little info as to why. It can take up to 4 weeks for those spots to heal after the cream and it had only been 10 days and they were already looking way better. I will go back in 8 weeks for the follow up but the lack of education or information they give is concerning. Also, I used the cream as prescribed and the APRN sometimes makes you feel dumb like you aren’t doing things right. May end up going somewhere else.

I traveled all the way from Etown cause all the Dermatologists in town were booked out till February/March. Margaret got me in the next day! I ended up having a cyst colliding with a mole I've had since I was born. Thankfully that's all it was! Margaret had me in and out in about an hour. Will definitely recommend her to anyone and everyone!
