Kirsten E. Dickinson, MD, FAAD

Dr. Kirsten Dickinson is a board-certified dermatologist and a board-certified, fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon. As a Mohs surgeon, Dr. Dickinson understands that being diagnosed with skin cancer can cause anxiety. Knowing this, she always seeks to provide comfort and reassurance to her patients throughout the entire surgical removal and reconstruction process. It is her goal that patients return home not only happy with the results, but also skin cancer free.

Dr. Dickinson specializes skin cancer detection and treatment, including Mohs micrographic surgery and complex facial reconstructive surgery. She provides treatment for common and complex skin, hair and nail conditions including, but not limited to, acne, eczema, and psoriasis. Additionally, she provides cosmetic treatments for skin rejuvenation including Botox® Cosmetic, fillers, microneedling, chemical peels and lasers.

Dr. Dickinson is excited to provide exceptional dermatologic care to the Clive and West Des Moines community where she grew up.

Overall I had a great experience. A couple of things that kind of bothered me. When I checked in, the person was rather gruff. I was early for my appointment and asked if appointments were running on time. The response was less than welcoming. This is my first time having such a procedure and don’t know how the process runs. The support care staff (nurses, aides etc) were amazing! Big props to them! So kind and caring. I think the doctor did a great job as it was only 1 procedure and I was finished. Thank you! There does seem to be an atmosphere of providers being rushed. When I met with the initial provider for a screening, it seemed rather rushed.
