Kelli Hutchens, MD

Laboratory Medical Director
Dr. Hutchens is a board-certified dermatopathologist and Chief Laboratory Officer overseeing operations of all Forefront pathology laboratories. She also serves as the Medical Director for Forefront’s two full service, high-volume Wisconsin dermatopathology labs, which support several hundreds of Forefront clinics and clinicians nationwide. Dr. Hutchens’ primary focus is to ensure Forefront laboratories provide actionable and accurate microscopic diagnoses and the best possible turnaround time to satisfy our patients and clinician’s needs. She has a passion for quality and process improvement and is constantly assessing all phases of the patient's sample journey. At the microscope, she has a special interest in inflammatory dermatosis and loves working with her colleagues in the clinic to solve a mysterious rash.
