Katie is a native of Oxford, AL. She joined the Advanced Dermatology team in 2019. Katie graduated magna cum laude from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, earning her Bachelor of Science degree in Respiratory Therapy. She later continued her education and received her Master of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies from The University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Katie is board-certified by the National Commission of Certification for Physician Assistants and is licensed by the Alabama Board of Medical Examiners. She is currently a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, Society of Dermatology Physician Assistant, the Alabama Society of Physician Assistants, the Society of Dermatology Professionals, and Alabama Society of Dermatology Professionals.

When she isn’t working, Katie enjoys spending time with her husband Landon, scrapbooking, and making memories with friends and family.

Katie is wonderful ! She is caring and conscientious and I am always at ease with her . She will always make sure your questions are answered and takes great care in skincare education . I love her and would highly recommend . Excellent care !

The doctor seemed to be impatient and in a hurry. She spoke very quickly and used words and medical terminology with which I’m not familiar. I found it fascinating that I received an email before my appointment telling me that if I was 10 minutes late, but I would be asked to reschedule. However, my appointment with Dr. Katie was over 30 minutes late. Respectfully, why do you office rules apply to patients, but not to the doctor? Katie expected me to immediately understand her fast communication and I ask her to slow down and explain to me her expectations and the medications I was being asked to take. Respectfully, I would prefer another doctor next time I visit the office.
