J. Michael Webb, MD, FAAD, FACMS
Dr. Michael Webb founded Tennessee River Dermatology in 1997. He specializes in the treatment of skin cancer.
Dr. Webb received his Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics at Birmingham-Southern College where he was elected into the Kappa Mu Epsilon National Mathematics Honor Society. Dr. Webb was an award student at the University of Alabama School of Medicine where he received his Doctor of Medicine degree. He performed his internship and a second year of residency in Internal Medicine, and then completed a three-year residency in Dermatology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Dr. Webb also was selected as a Dermatologic Surgery Fellow by Vanderbilt University, where he completed an intense one-year fellowship to further advance his skills and experience in skin cancer treatment and reconstruction.
Dr. Webb is a diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology. He is also a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery. Dr. Webb was elected as a fellow into the American College of Mohs Surgery in recognition of his commitment to excellence in dermatologic surgery.
Dr. Webb was elected President of the Alabama Dermatology Society in 2000 and has served as a representative of Medicare and BCBS of Alabama. Dr. Webb is licensed to practice medicine in the state of Alabama.
Dr. Webb has performed over 11,000 cases of Mohs Micrographic surgery for skin cancers. He has authored numerous articles in national medical journals as well as a chapter in the leading textbook on Mohs Micrographic surgery. He has also lectured at the American Academy of Dermatology.
