Dana is a board-certified Physician Assistant in the State of Alabama. Originally from Connecticut, she graduated Magna Cum Laude from Connecticut College with a Bachelor of Arts in Biological Sciences. She earned her Master of Medical Sciences from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where she graduated with the highest honors and was inducted into the Alpha Eta Honor Society.

Prior to her career in dermatology, Dana provided primary care and orthopedic surgery services in a rural community set among the Redwood National Forest. She now enjoys living on the beautiful Mobile Bay and is honored to provide dermatology care to its members. In her free time, she enjoys working in her garden and spending time with her husband, Ryan, and their dog, Penny. She is a current member of the Academy of Physician Assistants, the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, and the Alabama Society of Dermatology Professionals.

This was my first visit and I was so impressed with the quality of service from front desk to the end of my appointment. Dana and her nurse were both very nice and friendly and made me feel comfortable. I was called back at the time of my appointment and treated in a timely manner.

I brought my 13-year-old daughter to see Dana for typical teenage skin concerns, and we had an excellent experience. Dana was very thorough and took the time to clearly explain everything to both of us. She has a wonderfully warm spirit, which made my daughter feel comfortable and eased any nervousness. She was patient and kind in answering all of our questions throughout the visit. As my daughter gets older, I’m intentionally helping her build confidence by encouraging independence during doctor visits by learning to speak for herself, while in a professional setting, and navigate the process from check-in to check-out. Without any prompting, Dana spoke directly to her and treated her as the patient rather than only addressing me as the parent. That approach meant a great deal to both of us. We would absolutely recommend Dana for anyone’s dermatology needs. 10/10!

She was straight to the point answered all of my questions , saw that I had something going on a rash wrote me a prescription got it filled at the same place then I was on my way home feeling relieved. Will go back in 6 months for a follow up
