Cynthia Trickett has been a Physician Assistant since 1995 when she graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston, TX. She practiced Family Medicine for approximately 3 years in Houston, Texas before transferring into Dermatology in 1998, and has been practicing in this specialty ever since. In 2000, she completed her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies with a concentration in Dermatology from The University of Nebraska. She is an adjunct faculty member for the Physician Assistant Departments with both the University of Texas Southwestern as well as the University of North Texas. She regularly mentors and lectures to the PA students. She has guest lectured for the National Psoriasis Foundation as well as lecturing to Dermatology practitioners across the United States on psoriatic disease.  In 2018, she was presented with the prestigious America’s Top PA award by her peers.

Cynthia treats most general dermatology concerns but has a passion for psoriasis and other chronic inflammatory diseases, and is considered an expert in her field. Because of this she frequently consults with physicians across the United States on complex cases.

Cynthia has been in the United States Air Force since 1990, serving in both the Air Force Reserves and the Texas Air National Guard in the Biomedical Science Corps.  She holds the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in her position as a Physician Assistant. In her spare time, she enjoys travel, foreign movies, World War II history, and works with the Ronald McDonald House of San Antonio.

She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, the Texas Academy of Physician Assistants, the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, as well as the Air National Guard Association of Physician Assistants.  Cynthia also currently serves as the Vice Chair of the Dermatology PA Foundation.

I had my first appointment with Cynthia, and at this practice, this morning. I could not be more happy with my experience. Cynthia listened to my questions and concerns and went above and beyond ti make sure everything was addressed and that I agreed and had an understanding of the treatment plan. She was very friendly, easy to talk to, made me comfortable. I instantly had respect for her and trust in her as a medical professional. Her medical knowledge was very impressive. She was clearly well read and keeps up to date with research on many different conditions and their treatment options. I, myself, am I medical professional, and I admit I am very hard to please as far as my expectations of other doctors and PAs. I honestly have nothing negative to say about Cynthia or my appointment. I was thoroughly blown away. I would see her for everything medical related I ever needed to see someone for if she was a general practitioner!
